Title: Jikoushoukai
Description: Introduce yourself here!
nyaposse - November 30, 2006 09:57 PM (GMT)
You're new to the forum? Wanna say hi?
Ok, I'll go first.
My moniker is MeiohSetsuna because its Sailor Pluto's name in Japanese. Living in Hawaii, I have always been surrounded by Japanese culture. I first decided to pursue the language in highschool, about the time I became obsessed with Sailor Moon. Things would escalate, and finally I found myself here. Still working on my Japanese ofcourse. I'm currently yukking it up in Japan as an English teacher, and still trying to squeeze in the time to sub!
You can find me on
myspace if you want. I don't make friends with simply anyone tho! You gotta flatter me about how wonderful my fansubbing group is and stuff.. no swearing... :P
どうぞよろしくおねがいします~!

今日は BlueEyedWolf です. I go by the name "BlueEyedWolf" because I have a puppy that is blue-eyed and is half husky and wolf. He is just SO adorable!! :>
Ok, enough about my puppy.....:P
Growing up in Hawaii, I've always been surrounded by Japanese also. Then I moved to Japan when I was young, and had to learn Japanese very quickly. Let me tell you, it was very intense! Then I moved back to Hawaii for High School and College. This is where I decided to pursue a degree in Japanese Studies.
In my spare time, I love to watch anything from anime & jdramas to Japanese TV shows. I also love to translate songs for fun, whether it is Japanese to English or vice versa.
Then I bumped into Setsuna and Himeko, and here I am. It really helps though, that we all have similar interests, and know enough Japanese to work together humbly. If it weren't for them, I don't think I would have considered taking on such a project as a translator. I hope that we can continue to work peacefully, and have lots of fun while working side by side. これからも宜しくね二人とも! :>

みんなさんへ
こんにちは!
姫子です
I'm, by far, the horriblest (is that even a word?) of the three of us in Japanese so I'm glad to be on the team! Anyway, I'm also from Hawaii and and (supposedly) majoring in English (but I haven't really taken any English classes yet.) I'm an avid fan of Johnny's Entertainment and especially Takizawa Hideaki ^.^*@I love Manga, Anime, and doramas! I also love to write and read and eating chocolate because it makes me really hyper. Um...there's not much more to me than that, really ^.^*
I hope that everyone enjoys our work and comes to hang out here more!
じゃ!

Hello everyone!
I figure I might as well be the first non-staff to introduce myself since it seems quiet in here.
My name is Elyse and I hail from Virginia. I know what you're thinking "Ewwww! Virginia?!" Yeah, I'd have to agree. BUT, don't judge me for my state. I can assure you that I'm NOT like the other discriminate hateful people here ^^
I'm 18 years old and I've taken Japanese for 4 years in highschool. I've always been interested in all aspects of Japanese culture, especially the language. So of course, my major is Japanese (but I haven't taken any college Japanese classes yet).
Like most dorama fangirls, I have an extreme love for Johnny's Jimusho (Tegoshi, YamaPi, Koyama, and Jin being my favorites ^^).
I've started doing some subbing on my own, but for right now.. I'm an extreme n00b. soo... I hope to be as good as Nya! one day.
Yoroshiku Onegaishimaaaaaasu.
Himeko Himura - December 7, 2006 09:27 PM (GMT)
^-^
Nice to meet you~
Don't worry about the state thing. Everyone seems to think that we live in grass huts and wear hula skirts and coconut shells (????) I seriously don't know where they get that idea from....
But yea~ Virginia is a beautiful state~ I went there for my sister's wedding and it's so green and lucious and wow~ ^-^ Very different from Hawaii, but still very nice!
Tegoshi~ ^-^
I'm a big Tegoshi fan as well. Takki is my favorite, but Tegoshi and Shibutani Subaru rank in at second (i really can't choose between them...) and Yamashita Shoon as third ^-^
Good luck in Subbing and thanks for the support!
BlueEyedWolf - December 7, 2006 09:58 PM (GMT)
Jin...*dreamy eyes* ....I like you already. *hugs Erisu*

Ameちゃん、ようこそ!^^

| I'm also a big Arashi fan... yup, a rabid MatsuJun fangirl (don't hold it against me BlueEyedWolf!) ^.~ |
I would never hold it against you. Just because I don't like him doesn't mean that the whole world needs to dislike him too, ne?^^
Out of Arashi though, I like Sho the best. Then it's Nino & leader(Oh-chan). Aiba is alright. I only like him when he does something totally baka.^^

Hahahaha, which he does surprisingly a lot. He always ends up saying the funniest things. かわいいね。
MeiohSetsuna - December 9, 2006 05:07 AM (GMT)
Sadly Nya as a whole doesn't really like MatsuJun, but that never stopped us from subbing HYD. ^.^
My personal JE favs are KAT-TUN (everyone!), YamaP, and Arashi minus MatsuJun. Everyone else is eye candy as well. :)
And aside from JE boys I also love Oguri Shun. =^_^=

That's when he was still in LA? I know he was going to my friend's language school till he got found out.. then he moved up to Orange County I think.
And apparently it's all because he's following a girl.. T.T Oh Jin... >.<
Come back to KAT-TUN.. they need you...
BlueEyedWolf - December 9, 2006 06:25 AM (GMT)
Jin....O.O?! "why Jennifer?!"!!!T.T
That pic of Jin made me SO sad!! It's too damn scary!! That boy needs to lay off on the party life a bit and try and keep his form! Like seriously!!!><
Since we're on the subject, let me put my 2 cents in here too. ^^ My top 3 favorite JE boys are of course KAT-TUN , Kanjani8 and NewS.
From KAT-TUN of course Jin is my favorite (and my number one). Other than that I only like Kame when he's adorable. I also like Koki cuz he's so cute when he tries SO hard to be all "gangsta". He just can't pull it off.^^
From Kanjani8 of course Ryo is my favorite(my very close to number one, but currently number two). I also like Uchi, but only when he does those "baka" moments like "dare deshou?". He's just too pretty for me.^^
And from NewS, of course it's Ryo and Uchi again, but I also like Pi(my current number three which he shares place with Golf and Mike). When it comes to Pi though, Setsuna and I usually share the fangirling. Hime on the other hand has a huge detest towards Pi.(Takki{her number one} kissed him on the cheek once and sorta molested him. And also because Pi kissed Tego{her number two/three} on the cheek too.)
And yah, Jin needs to seriously return soon!! KAT-TUN looks so depressed in pics and performances without him. It's just not the same....
And I don't believe Jin's following a girl!>< *is in major denial :P * He just CAN'T be!!!>< NYOOOOO~!!!!
Sorry y'all for going off the subject here.....switched into the fangirling mode for a moment. :P *blushes*
Erisu - December 9, 2006 06:48 AM (GMT)
Why Jennifer, indeed.
From what I hear, he quit the language academy due to fan problems (as we all know, he has a HUGE hatred of annoying fans. He's said so many times in his J-web entries). Well, most of u knew that.
But what's really surprising is that he's joined a dance academy instead... Millenium.... somthin' or other. It's a hip-hop dance school... Bu from the look of those chunky arms, it looks like he's getting about as much dancing education as English. ;)
And that's really a shame since... well, most of us has seen Jin's dancin skills. *gets a little steamy* He would have rocked it out, man!!
Okay. I promise not to get off topic anymore (well, no maybe I'm lying) But as a fellow Jin fan, I felt you needed to know.
[P.S. - That picture was taken at a bar on Thanksgiving... in LA T_T;;; If he doesn't tear himself away from the party life soon, he'll ruin himself!! T_T;;;; ]
BlueEyedWolf - December 9, 2006 06:58 AM (GMT)
*has a steamy moment too with just the thought followed by a nosebleed*
*hugs Erisu again*
Himeko Himura - December 9, 2006 07:18 AM (GMT)
Jin...*makes a face*
J/K
Jin's cool, especially in Dream Boys, where I have an overwhelming urge to jump him...*is boggled by this thought*
But I love younger Jin the most.
CAR SHRIMP.

Amen to that!! Dude... that just makes me miss Jimmy though, a little bit. Their English sessions were ever so funny.
Okay, I'm still totally off subject!! See, I DID lie >_<;;;
BlueEyedWolf - December 9, 2006 07:26 AM (GMT)
*glares at Hime*
*throws Takki, Subaru and Tego at her as a distraction while I go in to save Jin*
Erisu - December 9, 2006 07:28 AM (GMT)
Hey!! Careful with Tego! *puts a bandaid on him* >=( He's my number one, you knoooow. You must be gentle with him!
Mou.. can't we all get along? xD!
(Anyone think we may need a fangirling thread? xDD)

We definately need one, but the introduction thread will do ^-^ *Steals away tego from erisu with ebil laugh*
BlueEyedWolf - December 9, 2006 07:33 AM (GMT)
Muahahaha! My plan worked. It works everytime *ehvil laugh and grin*
Erisu - December 9, 2006 07:34 AM (GMT)
Ehh??!?!?! But he's your number two!! <_<
I at least deserve my number one. Don't make me say insulting things about Takki. It could get ugly.
Just kidding, I can share (maybe).
MeiohSetsuna - December 9, 2006 07:37 AM (GMT)
Well good thing no one is throwing my boys around... *pats Kame and Pi really softly*
Puurrrrr... ^-^
Himeko Himura - December 9, 2006 07:37 AM (GMT)
>.< Takki has nothing to be insulted about (except maybe his nose...)
I've always been a bit posessive when it comes to my top three ^-^ Although in a few more days I'll have four *wait paitently for the day she is no longer a pedophiler*
BlueEyedWolf - December 9, 2006 07:40 AM (GMT)
PSSST!!! Go to the "JE Talk" thread in "General".....

Nice to meet you all. I'm Maggie.
I tried to send an email to the address listed on the Contact page (staff@nyafansubs.com) and I got a failure notice. This doesn't seem the place to mention it, but I couldn't find a better thread.
Anyway, Happy Holidays everyone. I'll see you around this board and maybe elsewhere. ^_^
Himeko Himura - December 18, 2006 10:17 PM (GMT)

yoroshiku onegaishimasu!
Dred - January 9, 2007 01:38 AM (GMT)
^_^ Allo! I'm Scotty, or Dred. nicknames (I'm a girl ^_^) But I've been stuck both of them for so long that hearing my real name is just really weird nowadays. Lol. Originally I'm from Alaska but I've lived in Colorado for about 3-4 years now. I'm 21, a college student (Literature Major) on hiatus for medical reasons which means pretty much all I can do is sit about and watch doramas XD It's not an easy life, but, meh, I can't complain. Hehe!
Recently I've gotten my mom, brother-in-law and sister into watchin the shows with me which has been really refreshing (we all adooore Stand Up!! XD)
Besides alll that, I too am a JE fangal (Yamapi, Jin and Ohno! SQUEEEK) but my heart truly belongs to the band Kishidan. MAJOR Kishidan fangirl (i'm talkin baaad) Infact one of the main reasons I got into doramas is because I'd heard Kishidan was appearing in an episode of Kisarazu Cat's Eye, hehe, that was my downfall ^_^ Other then JE and Kishidan though I've a huge fondness for Oguri Shun, Kubozuka Yosuke, Tsumabuki Satoshi and Sato Ryuta, my top 4 Dorama Boys XD Luv them to bits!!!
Uhhhm... Other then that... That's about it ^_^ Hehhe, so, see ya all around.
And again, thanks so much for all your hard work, Nya!!! <3
Himeko Himura - January 9, 2007 01:57 AM (GMT)
Nice to meet you!
I totally understand about the real name thing. everyone calls me hime and hearing my real name feels so weird~
Anyway, nice to meet you!! HOpe you like it here lots ^_^
Kurowasan - January 10, 2007 01:31 PM (GMT)
Here's me.
I'm 25 y/o french guy from paris. I guess you know where Paris is :P
Since my childhood, i'm deeply attracted by Japanese culture. So iquicly i decided to learn Japanese on my own. Remember those precious moments makes me chilled!
Anyway, i loved foreign languages since...a long time ago. Maybe it was when i had to learn english at school. At start, i was very very bad in english. can't remeber the differents forms of irregular vers, like:
-eat, ate, eaten
-break, broke, broken
-and so on
My english teacher was mad against me. And one day..learning english became a game. Learning the differents forms of irregular verbes was great. And from that moment, my english skill simproved.
But i'm not good at all right now. I really need to practice english. (Don't ask me to pronounce "Wednesday" or for sure, you'll laught at me :P).
And after this, japanese. Ahhh, learning kana! I'm kinda proud to say it was so easy to remember the strokes. But once arrived at university, situtation changed. Among students, lots of clever people. i feel like a dumb just by reading and make short sentence while others can already talk nearly fluently.
So it as hard but you know, when ou love a thing so much, even it's hard, you'll keep moving on. That's what i did. And my japanese skills are still improving thanks to those drama for a part.
I have no sister, no brother. And my parents divorced. I always lived with my mother untill she passed away 2 years ago. So i'm living on my own right now. Losing someone you love so much on the earth is a pain i dont want you to know. it was hard to come back at Uni. But i did. Even it's painful sometimes, i'm trying my hard to keep moving. :)
I like a lot playing the dumb one with my friends. Gaze at them smilling , laughing is a precious present for me. As you can see, i'm sensitive. being senstivie in this world is bad, very BAD! Isn't it? ;)
Well well...i wrote too much...i'm sorry to spoke too much about my life.
Anyway, i love watching dramas (special message; can't wait watching my Boss My Hero ep.3 :P) and i'm gratefull to discover this site and all people there who's also like watching drama.
Merci :)
Kurowasan.
BlueEyedWolf - January 10, 2007 05:38 PM (GMT)
Bonjour again Kurowasan! And welcome! I'm happy to see you made your way to this forum too

I totally can relate. It was bad enough for me to learn English when I was young, but to learn Japanese at the same time on top of that? Man, it was tough. I guess that's why I'm SO grateful to have Setsuna and Hime edit my "yoda-lingo". If it weren't for them, I don't think the English part would have been so fluent in English (I keep switching words around since I'm always thinking in both languages). :P

Meh, don't mind others. I believe you have the right motivation. If you are determined to get somewhere, you will.^^ Ganbare~!

Hey there everybody :D I'm Sere, and I'm new at this forum...Anyway, hope I can get to know you people and make friends :DDD
BlueEyedWolf - March 22, 2007 10:04 PM (GMT)
Yoroshiku Sere-san! :D I think you might want to introduce yourself in the Jikoshokai topic instead. That's where everybody gets to know each other, ne?^^ In the meanwhile, I'll see if I can move your post there...or is it even possible?
*goes off to ask the other two*
MeiohSetsuna - March 25, 2007 11:44 PM (GMT)
Topic merged. ;)
Wow, I wasn't getting the annoucements that new posts were made on this topic... sniffle... I missed out on saying hi to everyone. ;_;
Kurowasan -- sugoi. Japanese is your third language? Or since you're in Europe, maybe even more like 5th? *jealous* I guess I only know English fluently and I'm near fluent in Hawaiian Creole (but thats not something I can academically study -- its more like survival in Hawaii! ^^). Now I'm working on fluency in Japanese. I'd say my English has gotten a bit screwy at times because of how Japanese is all backwards... it's a never-ending battle every day here in Japan! *lol*
Welcome to all the other new peeps!
Well at any rate, welcome to the craziness!
<3 <3
BlueEyedWolf - March 26, 2007 12:43 AM (GMT)
Thanks for the merger Setsuna!><
