Word to the Wise: This is NOT a PG-13 drama. There is nudity and strong sexual content. When it aired in Japan the nudity was blurred out, but this is obviosuly not so with the DVD version. While Nya!'s normal policy is to bleep swear words out a bit, we felt that due to the nature of this show the bleeping was unnecessary. Don't get mad at us!

Description: This drama is akin to a Japanese version of American Pie (but better). It follows 5 friends (4 guys - Oguri Shun, Ninomiya Kazunari, Yamashita Tomohisa, Narimiya Hiroki, and a girl - Suzuki Anne) who spend the summer of their 17th year together. The guy's mission is to loose their virginity, and Chie (Anne) is their childhood friend who has returned for unknown reasons. It's a somewhat comedic story of love and friendship.

I mean in general, I've waited at least 4 month! XD It's not to be rude, but I think it was a very long waiting time... Is that the normal waiting time for an episode? Or is it just me? O.o

I think it depends on what and who you're comparing us to. Personally, I don't think 4 months is a very long time to wait at all. There are other subbing groups out there that take more than a year to do just one episode. So compared to them, I think we are dishing out episodes at a pretty good rate. And when you think about it, there's only 2 of us working on this project (Hime almost never touches it anymore...it's all Setsuna and myself). Caught between our hectic schedules in the "real world", we just can't keep up to other people's standards, if you know what I mean... So to answer your question about the waiting time for an episode? In our case it all depends on what is going on in our personal lives. In other words, it will always vary. And thus, we do not announce any release dates unless we know for sure we will be releasing on that date.

You see, we're not a group of only college students with spare time on their hands. At first nya was 2/3 college students, so we got things done MUCH faster before tests and what have-you. We were also physically together ALOT, so we got things done quicker together. But its not a perfect world... some of us gotta work for our dreams. I'm living my dream of Japanese life... sans my best buds. (Also ex-fiance) It was a big sacrifice I had to make. The next dream is to make Nya a legal company, so we can legally release this stuff to wider audiences. Gotta start collecting the money and the contacts for that... ^^;;

So I am sorry that of our projects, StandUp has the slowest release rate (despite being one of our biggest desirable ones). I've seen worse tho, by other groups in the past. But don't worry, I intend to do the DB4 some Nya-justice till the end. With Blue at my side the whole way. :lol:

So if you love us, just be patient. It's really worth the wait for something free to begin with. B)

I love your releases the best! I love it how you do those little side-notes for things we normally wouldn't understand, but now we can understand the whole episode! :) I've seen few fansubbers who do that
I had seen stand up!! before, with really bad subtitles, and I must say I love it even more now with those great subs.
So I'm really happy you're saying that you're going to finish this 'till the end :)
