Just one comment about Kame's last sentence. It's actually "don, Michael". He's playing "monomane" of cute and funny manga about cats called "What's Michael?". I think there's anime as well, but I haven't seen it

Yeah, I knew about it...but figured it was best to leave the translation as "Don't mind 'Kay", cuz actually that comedian guy, I think his name is Don Michael? He's always imitating "What's Michael", right? And instead of giving a whole translation note for it, since it is such a short ending, we translated it to the closest thing. Thus, "Don't mind 'Kay". And really, it doesn't have a solid translation except for the Michael dude imitating Michael the cat. You know, like play on words? And yeah, they probably connected that to the fact that this whole episode was about cats.^^

BTW, I think you're right about there being an anime done. I vaguely remember seeing something like it once when I was young. But ya, I have the manga too, and it's quite amusing. ^^
