Title: Requirements and Joining
Description: Look here to join Koyangi's team

nyaposse - June 4, 2008 09:50 PM (GMT)
Requirements for Joining:
1. A love for the group that you'll be subbing. At the moment we're only focusing on Super Junior, but as Koyangi grows, I'm hoping to take on other Korean artists.
2. Dedication. Please don't join if you're only going to drop out in a few weeks. If you'd like to work on a project specifically and have no intention of continuing after that, please let me know. It's as simple as that.
3. Familiarity with subbing programs is not a requirement, but please take some time to review the tutorial here and get some idea on how to work with them for future reference.

Specific Job Requirements and duties:
QC - Quality Check. It's where we fine tune and catch all the mistakes

Primary Translator:
Primary translators will be either working with a timed script or writing their translations out on a TXT document.

Spot Translator/Translation QC:
Spot translators will be filling the blanks that was left by the primary translator.

Typesetters:
You'll be dealing with titles AND the coloring of the script.

Editors:
You'll be dealing with the finished product. Your job will be to make sure each line is grammatical and also check spelling as well as styles (aka, make sure every person has been colored correctly).

Timers:
You'll be timing the audio as well as the titles.

Uploaders:
Uploaders will serve as both distributors and advertisers. We need people to upload to various free servers and also to help advertise our subs to forums.

Raw Providers:
A raw provider would have to be able to download from clubbox and upload to various servers as the need arises.

How to Join
If you're still interested in joining, please fill out the appropriate form(s) for the job(s) you are interested in and post it here before/after joining the forum (guests can reply to this message). I will PM you after you have been approved with additional information and the password/link to the subbing forum. Forms will be deleted as you are accepted. If you're not familiar with any subbing program, don't be discouraged! You'll learn as you go and it's always great to pass on knowledge

Don't worry if you have to say no to any of these questions, it's just so I know what I can send you and what I can't.

syunikiss ---> Deadlines aren't going to be very strict. Quality before Quantity has always been a great motto for Nya! (since we never seem to get anything out very fast as it is *sweatdrop*)

As for specifics, I'll probably make a general query if a project has been paused for more than a week. More on this is actually discussed in the subbing forum once you get your password.

And yes, it is possible to use a different name in credits, just respond to the approval PM with whatever name you'd like to use.

rosevic87 ---> You can apply for as many jobs as you wish as long as you don't mind doing them? ^_^

UPLOADING
Name: SujiChan
Preferred method of uploading?: I can upload to MU (I have an account), CB,( MF and SS if needed.)
Anything Else?: I know several LJ comms I can advertize in, including my own, and I can check out forums as well.

PROVIDING RAWS
Name: SujiChan
Where do you usually download from?: MU, CB, SS, MF, whatever I can.
Can you download from Clubbox?: yes
Is your collection big and can I steal from it? Y/Y? (this is a purely rhetorical question, well...kinda): I used to get only subbed stuff, but that's almost rare now. Everyone uploads raws so I can get more raws easily.
Preferred method of uploading?: I have a MU account so it would last, but if I have to upload else I can do that.
Anything Else?: *thinks* Er, no, not that I can think of. If you have any questions just ask. And I do love Super Junior, as well as DBSK (if you decide to sub them later).

I thought of Editors but I have a question first ... do I have to be able to understand japanese or is it not so important for an editor? and I also wanted to ask if you need a special program for it ...

so if understanding japanese (I really wanted to learn it but actually it isn't taught at any school ...) isn't that important for an editor i'd like to do it ^^

Editors

Know any Korean? Actually no, sorry ... (If yes, then how much?)
Subbing experience?: None (or well I kind of subbed some PVs but I had the english translation and the romanji for that so I didn't translate anything on my own)
Can you work with a timed script?: I think yes ^^
Anything Else?: Well I like doing things like that I think and I have a lot of time (normally) so ... ^^ if you have any other questions just ask
