Hehe, nice to see you girls doing it =O

On your personal view, what would you rate the series as (anyone here in the forum)?

I know this might not be the right place, but I was just wondering if I should start this series, seeing as how so many people love it and all xD (and that korean version coming out... ._. and if I do I'll have to watch meteor garden becuase I'm weird like that xD)

if u ask if ppl would recommend this or not ... well, itīs hard to say.
i canīt stand tsukasa (male main character) he is enough of a pain in the a** that u could call him a reason not to watch it XD
but then again i luv makino and Rui (yeah! oguri shun *.*).
about the story. itīs kind of a romeo and juliet- story since tsukasaīs and makinoīs social backgrounds r totally differents worlds and on tsukasaīs side there r those who donīt want them to be together. and even tsukasa first refuses makino. well, this couple sure has to face a lot of obstacles. so, if u like such a story but with a very selfish and egocentric romeo ... u should give it a try.^^

nee ... i just read that SARS is planing to sub the film as soon as it come out on DVD. so will both sub-groups do it? *little confused* ^^°°

dzeratul: I'd say it's highly recommended. As it was debut series, I'd like to say it's worth it. I also don't like Doumyoji, as he wasn't my favorite character in the anime or the manga, but Rui is awesome and Makino is a great female character, and you don't usually see me commenting positively on female characters much.

I also adore Meteor Garden, as it was one of the first dramas that I ever watched. It follows the manga much closer than the Japanese version and I like the way that Jerry portrays Doumyoji. It also doesn't help that I'm helplessly in love with Zaizai, the actor that plays Rui. As beginner actors, the beginning of the series isn't the best, acting wise, but as the actors mature, the characters develop wonderfully.

As for the Korean version, I'm also looking forward to it, as Rui will be portrayed by Kim HyunJoong from SS501.

kirakira:
Yes, both groups will be subbing it. ^_^
