There is nudity and strong sexual content. When it aired in Japan the nudity was blurred out, but this is obviosuly not so with the DVD version. While Nya!'s normal policy is to bleep swear words out a bit, we felt that due to the nature of this show the bleeping was unnecessary. Don't get mad at us! Description: This drama is akin to a Japanese version of American Pie (but better). It follows 5 friends (4 guys - Oguri Shun, Ninomiya Kazunari, Yamashita Tomohisa, Narimiya Hiroki, and a girl - Suzuki Anne) who spend the summer of their 17th year together. The guy's mission is to loose their virginity, and Chie (Anne) is their childhood friend who has returned for unknown reasons. | Hiya, I almost fell from my chair when I watched it...thankyou thankyou thankyou!!! First I couldn't really believe it, I thought I was imagining things ^^ The story is that I was on a job last night, we had to install some hardware at a customer's site, and the time frame we had was from 11PM until 4AM. It was going to be a very shitty night, I hate working late at night in freezing-cold server rooms. Especially since the 5 hours were quite short for all the work we would have to do. My only relief was that we had around 1 hour in the hotel room until we had to start, and in this hour I decided to watch the freshly-downloaded Ep.7... I nearly missed the dedication, and when I saw it I had to watch it two more times until I really believed it You really saved my day (or night), after watching that, my mood increased so much that we actually finished the installation early That's the nicest thing that happened to me since... since... well since quite some time どもありがとうございました！(or, to quote Kenken: "マックス うれしい" ) *jumps and dances around in circles*--Darkstar |

That would be a flat out "no" as Erisu said. Just for clarification: StandUp is Setsuna's solo project and My Boss My Hero is Hime's solo. Both of them are NOT recognized by the three of us as "Nya Posse" projects as Hanadan Returns was. So to dump MBMH over SU is just absurd! (and of course vice versa). If you're that impatient of knowing the ending, go find and watch the other ones available elsewhere. And in the future, please refrain from making such a demanding comment. We kitties don't like being demanded to do things we already love doing. Thank you~. |

| actually, I agree that Stand Up!! is the best drama you're doing but then again, it is a matter of personal taste.. I downloaded a couple episodes of the others and I just couldn't get into the characters or the stories for various reasons. On one it was definately the acting of a main character that really turned me off.. Not that I think all the main actors in Stand Up!! are necessarily the best out there, but they make their characters fun and loveable. Shouhei is probably my favourite character in any japanese drama I've seen to date, and I love Chie, too. I can't wait for her character development in the last episodes (don't want to mention any spoilers). Anyways, I just wanted to drop my note of thanks for the awesome job on the subbing. I always appreciate the time and effort you put into it. It's all the more impressive for you doing it alone. It makes me wish there was some way to help, but alas I have no skills to offer, so I can only give my heartfelt thanks for a job well done. |

I don't think you've been reading the credits Blue does the translations, so I think she deserves some credit, right? And not to sound stuck up or anything, but I try to take care of all the other projects that Nya! is doing so that Setsuna has the time to do Stand Up!, considering how busy she is in Japan. Sry, but this one-person praising kinda got me worked up, cause it's a group effort and it's not fair if just one person gets all the credit, ne? IDC much about Stand Up!, but try to be considerate of the person who's actually doing all the translating. |

True...but I think you are missing what I was trying to say. I was just saying that it's wrong to say StandUp is absolutely the best drama we're doing. You should at least say that it's your most favorite drama we're doing, or something down that line. By saying that it's the best, you're basically talking down on our other projects, and it makes some of us upset. It's like saying, "I think *** is the best drama ever, but everything else you're doing is crap!" That's the vibes we get when we hear people constantly being narrow minded about what they like and don't like and compare our projects to the others. Fine you love StandUp, so do we. But please don't label it as our best drama. And please be more considerate and supportive with us as a group/team, not as individuals.
I think you and a lot of others out there misunderstand what we mean by "solo project". Solo project means that that person is in charge of that project. It does not mean that that person is the sole person working on it. So if you think that Setsuna is only one doing this project, you are mistaken. Yes, she is the one in charge, but that doesn't mean that she is doing everything totally on her own. Often people forget the others who slave their precious time on it because they are not seen. For example myself. I'm the absolute one that spends the most time on all projects, not Setsuna or Hime. And I'm sure the other two agree with me. You probably couldn't even possibly understand all the time and sweat I slave over each and every project so we all can enjoy our beloved dramas. Transcription alone takes me about a day, translations about another day, typing another. Once the script is manicured, but still in the raw translations, it is then sent off to the timer/editor, then back to me. This is where I do my final QC on it and send it back to whoever is to release that episode. So there's a lot more things that I do that is not mentioned. Not to belittle Setsuna or anything, cause god knows I love her to death, but her only job is to time, edit/QC and release. Nothing else. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to be all like, "Look at me! Look at me!" I'm just saying that don't misunderstand that this is completely done by one person, and at least acknowledge the other people who are involved with the projects. I think that's only fair, ne? Another thing is, just because Hime doesn't really have a hand in this project, she did help in the beginning and is taking on all the other projects to allow Setsuna to concentrate on only 2 projects . Stand Up and Sapuri. So even if you don't like other projects (have you even seen our list?), such as My Boss My Hero that Hime is doing, a simple "thanks" or "good job" to her would be nice to hear too, don't you think? Anyways, you all may find me offensive and b*tchy and maybe I am. I really don't care at this point. What I care about is that we continue to release our beloved projects, and have a little bit more support from all of you. And from what I have mentioned above, I hope you all understand what we are going through in order to get our quality subs out. Is that too much to ask from any of you? | stand up ain't really hentai, not at all actually they're just making fun of it, and at the same time implying that you shouldn't rush things at all, actually just have fun the best you can I just think the humour is well done, with the same BGsounds each time and the fast-forwarding scenes, really great! I also like nagase tomoya in my boss my hero (he's AWESOME there), but he's the only one who's acting this well in the drama(I'm not really a fan of tegoshi yuya, srry:P) so yeah, stand up is one of my favs and I'd recommend it to everyone |

Honestly I work the least out of all of us, but that's a personal story. Instead of saying something like "*** is the best drama you are doing", try and say "I like ***'s story the best!" It really does make a difference. I couldn't do SU without's Blue's translations. These are some hard 'vocab' words, and I'll never be at her level because she's a true bilingual. | well, what i mean by hentai is that the plot is about them trying to have sex. And there are naked women and men. Is this not the definition of hentai? IDK, I may be wrong. (actually, in japanese, hentai just means anything perverted) Although it is funny to see them all trying to get laid. ^___^ Man, I can't even think of Nino getting laid with anyone, that's just...idk. Although if it's Leader....*DIES* although I'm perfectly fine with Shun and Narunaru getting laid As for MBMH, i think all the actors did a good job. Although I think their character roles were so much like their real personalities that it wasn't really acting, so yeah...I adore Tegoshi as a singer more than an actor, though. I mean, the boy has a voice of an angel imo. *swoons* NE-way, as Setsuna said. Saying "THIS DRAMA IS THE BEST YOU ARE DOING" as opposed to "I LIKE THIS DRAMA SO MUCH OMG YAY" really does make a difference. I mean, it's almost as if you're saying the rest of nya sucks, but as long as we do stand up, it's okay if the rest of nya didn't exist. So plz be more considerate about your words, ne? ^____^ Cause srsly, it kinda makes the rest of us feel depressed and unwanted *goes off into a corner to emo* |

| Just a brief definition of what "Hentai" stands for as a clarification: In the anime world (is assuming that that's where the word originally got recognized as having the meaning), Hentai means straight out porn. Well in Japanese, Hentai can have more than one meaning. The common definition is to be a pervert, or someone being sexually perverted, abnormal or kinky. That means both thinking and doing perverted things. Now, at the same time, Hentai can also mean a transformation or metamorphosis of something. For an example, a tadpole to a frog. (Oh gosh! Why in the world did I have to use such a thing as an example...*hates frogs/toads with a passion!><;*). So basically what Hime was saying is that even though they are not necessarily having/showing sex on TV (though they suggest), the whole story line is fully saturated with sexual context and content that is considered Hentai in the Japanese society. Therefore, Hime's definition of Hentai is correct in this sense. If you don't believe me, look it up in a dictionary or ask a native. I'm sure they'll say the same thing. |

It's a simple mistake, and easy to correct without alienating a fan. Seriously, I was PRAISING your work. Would it hurt to accept it without jumping down my throat for a mistake I've seen several other people make? I LOVE your subs. I take the time to thank you for your hard work, and even if I mistakingly thank the wrong person, I'm still praising YOU. I don't understand the big problem here, you don't do all this work just to get a few people on the forum to put your name in lights, do you? You translate, edit, time, and perfect these subs because you're FANS. It's out of the kindness of your heart. Don't cheapen it. And don't get me wrong, I still admire your hard work, but maybe if you're going to get so worked up over a simple mistake then you should take a break, calm down, and get some perspective. I was only trying to give a compliment. Next time I won't bother just on the off chance I again make a mistake when it comes to who I should direct it towards. After all, what's the point in thanking someone if they won't even accept it? |

SU is just a touchy subject within the group... seeing that it's my project, and one of our most anticipated ones... And my habit of getting it out slow ever since I moved to Japan a year ago has created nothing but thorns in the group. (Actually ALL of Nya got slowed down when I physically seperated from the group, and it's been our personal issue for a while) People complain that Nya is slow or something, when really its just me being slow on SU that they are complaining about. And then Nya's name gets dragged through the mud. Hime and Blue get really hurt when they see that. They like to be praised too, and that means appraisal on our other projects as well. We take Nya waaaaaay too seriously, and we know it. But of course we also understand its all about your personal taste in plots... we just wish you'd watch EVERYTHING we do! *heeheehee* So yes, we're all fans... lets all have nothing but fan-ly love! |

First off, we do appreciate everyone's comments. And no, we're not in it to get any glory or anything, but just picture if you spent all your time doing something for people, or lets just say it's a project that you have to do for school and there's a group of people doing it. But then only one person gets all the praise when all of you did equal amounts of work. That kinda hurts. A lot. I mean, wouldn't it? I really don't have any part of SU whatsoever, but I'm over here watching Blue get upset because she feels everyone's forgotten about her. And it really sucks to be forgotten. As for a break, we did try to take a break from nya. And then ppl started yelling at us for 'leaving projects hanging.' It's a lose lose situation, really. And besides, even when we try to take a break, we start doing Nya anyways (we're such nerds...) Neways, lets just forget about 'solo projects' and just say they are 'nya projects' with a wonderful overseer, because all of us are in this together whether we like it or not (in my case, not, cause omg Pi *makes gagging noises*) ^__________________^ |

I have to tranfer schools first u_u; Since my major is International Studies, and my minor is Asian Studies, it's required that I study abroad for one year in an Asian country. But in any case, I'll be in Randolf-Macon as soon as I transfer this fall~ It's a private liberal arts college in Ashland, Virginia~ AND... one of the only places in Virginia that offers Asian Studies, unfortunately. I WANTED to go to the University of Richmond for the major, because my favorite professor (Suzuki-sensei) is the head of the department~~~ Howeverrr~~~ It's sooooo expensive. I'd have to sell my kidney on the black market to afford it~ |

Actually, UofR is actually a private college too... and since it's more prestigious than Randolf Macon, it's way more expensive. Plus, isn't Dan Radcliffe going to be going to UofR soon... or is that UVA?? Oh well, whichever one it is, the tuition will probably soar because of that xDD |

| Sigh. With the growing popularity of this thread, we have been getting spam messages daily. This is happening because we don't exclude random guests from posting. (On our first BB we did, and we think that's why less people gave us any feedback -- because they didn't want to take the time to create an account just to say 'thanx') In a way I'm flattered, knowing that this site is showing up on popular searches and therefore we've become the target of such spam... but we all know we're sick and tired of this happening... ne? So does anyone have any suggestions they'd like to throw out to the Nya! team? We really don't want to have to exclude future guests from giving us some luvin. I thought perhaps locking this thread and creating a new one for general discussion might be a good idea, but then the spammers will eventually find that one too... Well, what does everyone think? *throws it out for discussion* |

| Setsuna is currently packing to spend her vacation time back here in Hawaii. I will be helping her get 8 out as soon as we make connections. Till then, there is no schedule that we can announce. Sorry Also, I would like to ask if everybody could please not pressure Setsuna right now. She's really going through a lot and is going through a very hard time with her personal life.
